Course Description
Each year the Colorado Real Estate Commission (CREC) develops a four hour Annual Commission Update Course that covers important information about recent regulatory changes and practice issues. All active real estate brokers in Colorado are required to attend the course each year and pass the exam. The course has important information about current statutes and rules promulgated by the Commission. You are strongly encouraged to attend the course early in the calendar year.
Course Objectives
- Statue Recodification: 12-61 has become 12-10.
- New Rules: Rule titles and citations have changed effective 1/1/2020.
- Investigative Stats: Update on Division of Real Estate investigations.
- Top License Law Violations: Discuss most common license law violations.
- Investigative Tips: What to do when being investigated by the Division.
- Continuing Ed. Issues: Outline the issues related to CE certificates and compliance.
- Disclosure- Adverse Material Facts- What must be disclosed and when.
- Intellectual Property- Define intellectual property rights.
- Technology and Privacy Issues- Discuss the issues technology may present to brokers.
- Property Management- Outline new property management legislation.
- TD-1000- Outline changes made to the TD-1000 form
- New Contracts and Forms- Review noteworthy contract and forms changes.
- Legislation and Program Updates- Review legislation and program changes.
